Wow.  I'd kinda forgotten that I had a Xanga. Hmmm....

Nearly there.  I'm pretty much done, actually.  Two more classes and then finals next week and that's IT.  I'm done next Wednesday, which is nice.  This semester has been so topsy-turvy.  I had myself a nice little mini-breakdown Monday night.  I think it was just time.  All the small things build up and have nowhere to go.

I need a nap.

There are 60 new internationals coming in January, so that's something to look forward to.  I think there'll be less of us helping out, so I hope it doesn't get too crazy.  I feel bad for the ones coming because they get here Sat. and Sun. January 5th and 6th, get their shots Monday, go to orientation sessions Tuesday, and on Wednesday they have to get their shots read, register for classes, pay their fees, and then classes start on Thursday.  I'd be a little disoriented.  And most of the new ones coming don't speak very much English.  I already feel sorry for them.

Has it been a while, or has it been a while?  Maybe.  This semester was going well until about yesterday.  I made a D on an English exam.  =(  Hopefully I can come out with a B in the class.  It's not hard, it's just he asks questions and expects different answers than what the questions ask.  I like him and I like the class (sometimes) but he grades weird(ly?).  Oh yeah, and I have stuff due this week and next, but eh, who cares? I'll get it done.  I just tend to panic when I realize all that I have to do.  One assignment at a time.

My break went pretty well.  We're nearly finished working on my mom's bedroom, but I think it might wind up being my room.  It's got four windows.  Two more than what I've got now.

Did you know four way nose spray causes rebound congestion?  Erica just said that.  I just wondered it you knew.

I'm making a lot of scarves this season.  For some who want them, haha, and some who don't.  Jason gets one, Erica, Kristin, Patrick....and probably me, too, because the first one I made for myself is kinda not good.  I want different colors.

I am so loving hanging out with people lately.  If I've hung out with you, I thoroughly enjoyed it, and you've made the past few weeks better.

Have a good rest of the week! =)

All right, I did the responsible thing and dropped 19th century art and added American Lit. II.  I don't need the art class, and I do need the Lit. class.  It's a good idea for me to get a job next semester, but I don't know if I'll be able to with three Lit. classes.  I hope it works out,  because I tried having three at the beginning of this semester and it didn't work.  We'll see how it goes next semester...

I had so much fun this weekend at Planet Wisdom in Little Rock!  It was awesome to get to go.  And I even learned a few things myself, which is always a plus.

This day has been pretty long.  So was yesterday.  It's not a bad thing, though, it's just that I don't want to go to my class tonight.

I want to do something fun soon, so you be thinking about it and get back to me.

Well, since I'm dropping Digital Filmmaking down to a minor, I have class time that I have to fill up, so I'm taking some classes I just want to take even though they don't count.  I'm actually looking forward to next semester (somewhat).

American Modernism:  MWF 10-10:50
20th Century Novel:  MWF 11-11:50
19th Century Art:  MWF 1-1:50
Cinema History II:  M 4-7
Film II:  TTh 10:50-12:05
First Aid:  T 6-8

17 hours in all, but I know First Aid won't require that much of me, so I'm not worried.  The one I am pretty worried about is American Modernism.  Try as I might, I just can't seem to get into American literature.  I've been putting off taking American Lit. II and I only took American Lit. I because the honors professor I had taught it the semester after honors, and I knew it would be pretty much the same class.

I had to find either a 1 hour class to have the 15 I need or a 3 hour class that would put me over, and so I was looking through all the different departments and found the art class, and I'm interested in that time period, so I'm looking forward to that class.  I'm taking first aid because it's just good to have, and I'll get certified in CPR and whatnot and I want to get CNA certification next summer, so that should help out at least a little.  I was thinking about taking a class next semester to get my honors english degree, but that would require me to write a thesis my senior year, and even though I came up with a topic that I actually want to research and write about, I just don't think I can commit now to writing a thesis later.  I'll save it.  I'm thinking about getting my Masters in English here, and at the end, I can either take a comprehensive final or write a thesis, so maybe I can use it then.  If I don't, who knows, a doctorate may be on the horizon on down the road.  Doubtful, but possible.

Also, I hate night classes and now I'll have two.  But, I don't have any 8 o'clocks, which is very good.  I have one on TTh this semester, and even though it's my favorite class, I've skipped it four times.  I'm just not an early morning person.  That doesn't make you better than me.  Even if I get used to it, I eventually become robotic.  That's no way to live.  I have sleep inertia.  I looked it up.  It's not that I'm lazy, I just can't think straight in the morning.  It takes a while for sleep to wear off, and I'm better off if I let it happen on it's own rather than force it off because it's 7:23 and I have class at 8.  I imagine one day I'll be better able to wake up early and be okay, but not just yet.  Sleep is amazing, by the way.

Other than all that, things are going really well.  I like it when I'm able to look forward to the small things.

Ooh!! Erica got engaged, yay!  At the "surprise" birthday party she'd been planning for her boyfriend all month that he knew about the entire time.  They've been together for four years, and are waiting another 1 or 2 to get married.  It's a relief that they're not rushing into it like so many others.  Aw, just thinking about it makes me smile, it's exciting!  I cried when she told me because it was so sweet!  Nothing extravagant, just really sweet.  Haha, I'm going to have another brother-in-law .

That's pretty much it, have a good week!
